8th Foundation Anniversary of Heroic Freedom Fighter Shri Rabindra Chandra Das Library
Today is the 8th founding anniversary of 'Bir Muktijoddha Shri Rabindra Chandra Das Library' of Nabiganj Upazila of Habiganj District. The library was inaugurated on December 22, 2015 by the legend of the liberation war, prominent social worker and educationist Major (retd) Suranjan Das.
The library was established in the Muktahar village of Nabiganj upazila of Habiganj district with the slogan 'Read books in Rabindra library/Enlightenment with knowledge' in the name of Rabindra Chandra Das, a veteran soldier of the great liberation war, eminent teacher and eminent personality.
During the interaction of this representative with Ratnadeep Das (Raju), the founder and chairman of the board of directors of the library, it is known that soon after the establishment of the library, students in the area are interested in reading textbooks as well as out books. Library activities are conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm. Weekly closed Friday.
Enamul Habib, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, inaugurated the newly constructed building of the library on September 8 last year. Political leaders, public representatives, government bureaucrats, poets and writers have come to visit the library.
Mentionable among them are former Member of Parliament MA Munim Chowdhury Babu, former Member of Parliament Advocate Amatul Kibria Keya Chowdhury, Upazila Parishad Chairman Fazlul Haque Chowdhury Salim, Vice Chairman Advocate Gatigobind Dash, UNO Sheikh Mohiuddin, Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Shaheen Delwar and others.
He sought the cooperation of people from all sections of the society in the activities of the library and invited everyone to come to the library and read books.
