Tyson Slaps Paul in Dramatic Final Face-Off

Mike Tyson Slaps Jake Paul During Tense Weigh-In Ahead of Texas Showdown, Tensions boiled over as Mike Tyson slapped Jake Paul during a dramatic weigh-in for their much-debated heavyweight fight at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.  

The fight, scheduled for Friday night, pits 58-year-old Tyson against 27-year-old Paul, a novice boxer. After both fighters completed their weigh-ins, Paul theatrically crawled across the stage before standing face-to-face with Tyson for the traditional final stare-down.  

Having brushed off Paul’s provocations throughout fight week, Tyson finally snapped, delivering a slap that sent the stage into chaos. Security teams and staff rushed in to separate the pair as Tyson walked away, declaring, “Talking’s over.”  

Paul, unfazed, grinned and sat cross-legged on the stage, appearing to meditate. “I didn’t even feel it. He’s angry. He’s an angry little elf,” Paul quipped. He added, “Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute slap, buddy, but tomorrow you’re getting knocked out.”  

Tyson tipped the scales at 16st 4lb, with Paul coming in a pound lighter.  

Calm Before the Storm: Taylor vs. Serrano  

Amid the mayhem, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano brought a contrasting calm to proceedings. The undisputed light-welterweight champion and her opponent weighed in effortlessly and shared a respectful face-off.  

“This is the defining moment for all women in boxing,” Serrano said. “Let’s do the same thing we did two years ago.”  

The two last met in 2022 when Taylor narrowly edged Serrano in a lightweight classic. Both fighters expressed excitement for their rematch at light-welterweight, where they weighed in at 9st 11lb.  

Taylor’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, despite criticism of the Tyson-Paul spectacle, attended to support his fighter. “Tomorrow night will be one of my best moments in boxing,” Taylor said.  

A Theatrical Weigh-In  

Unlike typical boxing weigh-ins, Thursday’s event was heavy on spectacle. Fighters weighed in privately earlier in the day, with official weights revealed later.  

Fans gathered hours early, with some trying their hand at a boxing machine featuring Paul’s image. Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders and towering Transformer-like figures entertained the crowd of over 3,000 fans.  

However, it was Tyson’s slap that stole the show, creating a viral moment that will dominate headlines ahead of the fight.  

When Tyson and Paul meet in the ring, the unpredictability of the event leaves one thing certain: fireworks are expected.
