Awami League will build efficient and smart administration: Sheikh Hasina

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that if elected, Awami League will provide better and quality services to the people and establish good governance by building a citizen-centric, transparent, accountable, knowledge-based, welfare-oriented, integrated and efficient 'smart administration'.

He said this at the announcement ceremony of Awami League's manifesto in the 12th National Parliament election at Sonargaon Hotel in the capital on Wednesday (December 27) morning.

Highlighting various development works undertaken by the government during its three consecutive terms, Sheikh Hasina said that Awami League has achieved development in all areas, starting from the average life expectancy of people in the country, including food production, education, and medical treatment. The government is working to make the people of the country transition from landless and homeless.

He said, Bangladesh has transformed in the last 15 years. Today's Bangladesh is not poverty-stricken, economically fragile Bangladesh. I can unequivocally say that today's Bangladesh is a changing Bangladesh.

Awami League president said, "Today there are 32 landless and homeless districts. Awami League has also made improvements in internet services. The number of SIM card users has increased. ICT export started during Awami League period. Hijras are recognized familially, socially and constitutionally. The government is working to improve their quality of life.

Sheikh Hasina said, Bangladesh Awami League's 12th National Parliament Election Manifesto has been published in booklet form. By 2041, we will develop Bangladesh as a smart Bangladesh free from hunger and poverty. The independence of the judiciary will be maintained.
