11 persons arrested in Jhenaigati including Yaba and other cases
Police arrested a total of 11 persons including 1 person with 25 back yaba, 2 persons with 500 grams of ganja and 8 persons in other cases during the raid of Jhenaigati police station of Sherpur.
They were arrested from different places of the upazila on Friday night of 22nd December. 25 Yaba, along with the arrested wood trader. Idrich Ali (50) is the son of deceased Ah Aziz of Mollapara village of upazila. The arrestees with 500 village Gaza are Md. Akter Hossain (28) son of Mozaffar Ali of Fakhrabad village and Md. Ghiyas Uddin son of deceased. Anwar Hossain (35) including 8 persons under CR arrest warrant.
According to police sources, under the instructions of Sherpur Superintendent of Police Monalisa Begum PPM, Jhenaigati Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Under the leadership of Bachir Ahmed Badal, an expeditionary team of Thana police raided various places of the upazila and arrested 11 persons under CR arrest warrant including Yaba, Gaza.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Jhenaigati police station in this regard. Bachir Ahmed Badal confirmed the truth and said that a case has been filed against the arrested 3 persons including Yaba and Gaza and 8 persons have been produced in Sherpur court on Saturday afternoon as CR arrest warrant accused.
