2 BNP leaders arrested in Barhatta
2 Nationalist Party (BNP) leaders have been arrested for their involvement in the sabotage case in Netrakona's Barhatta. Barhatta Thana police conducted raids at different places of the upazila on Tuesday night and arrested them.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Barhatta police station Md. Rafiqul Islam confirmed this information. The arrested are Abul Khair, the joint convenor of Upazila Jubodal and son of Badsha Mia of Vikrashri village, member secretary of BNP Union Committee and Ashiq Mia, son of Sabuj Mia of Garma village.
Barhatta Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Rafiqul Islam said that the accused were arrested on Tuesday night for their involvement in sabotage. They were sent to court on Wednesday morning.
